About this role
About the role -
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Cloud & Security Delivery Coordinator to take ownership of our engineering intake queue and keep our delivery flow moving smoothly.
In this role, you will act as the operational shield and traffic controller for a team of 10 engineers specialising in cloud platforms, security, and corporate IT operations. You do not need to be a hands-on engineer, but you should have solid exposure to modern software/cloud delivery environments. Your main focus is managing ticket intake in ClickUp, negotiating realistic delivery dates with internal stakeholders, and keeping engineers focused on deep build work.
This is a 6 month contract (potential transition to permanent).
Duties and Responsibilities -
- Intake & Queue Triage: Drive the daily intake workflow in ClickUp, ensuring incoming tickets are assessed promptly, categorized accurately, and routed to the right engineering discipline.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders. Provide clear status updates, set realistic delivery expectations, and negotiate priorities when conflicting requests arise.
- Schedule & Priority Alignment: Work closely with the engineering team to rebalance tasks when urgent priorities hit the queue, adjusting delivery timelines and keeping affected parties informed.
- Process Refinement: Evaluate existing intake workflows and collaborate with the team to streamline ticket templates, board structures, and intake guidelines.
- Escalation Management: Collaborate directly with a Principal Cloud Engineer for technical guidance on queue priorities, with access to executive leadership (Head of Cloud and Security Engineering or CTO) for formal escalations.
Skill and experience required -
- Background: Prior experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Associate/Junior Technical Project Manager, Product Operations Specialist, or Service Delivery Coordinator.
- Domain Awareness: Baseline familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure, IT operations, or cybersecurity concepts.
- Tooling: Hands-on experience using ClickUp (or similar agile workflow engines like Jira, ServiceNow, or Azure DevOps).
- Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication skills with a diplomatic approach to saying "not right now" to demanding stakeholders while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Adaptability: Comfortable managing fluid priorities and bringing structure to fast-moving environments.
What This Role Offers -
- Immediate, Measurable Impact: You will immediately relieve operational friction for a 10-person engineering team, directly improving delivery flow and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Pathway to Permanency: While starting as a 6-month contract to augment the team during manager leave, this role has genuine potential to transition into a permanent position based on team performance and outcome.
