About this role

Senior Manager, Senior Finance Business Partner for CMC and Quality

Are you motivated by bringing financial clarity to complex scientific decisions? Join Lundbeck as Senior Finance Business Partner for CMC and Corporate Product Quality and help ensure that development, manufacturing, and quality decisions are made with strong financial visibility, risk-adjusted thinking, and clear business impact.

Your new role

As Senior Finance Business Partner, CMC & Quality, you will play a critical role in helping Lundbeck’s CMC and Quality organizations make informed decisions in a highly complex and uncertain environment. Partnering closely with senior leaders across CMC, Corporate Product Quality, R&D Finance, and Procurement, you will translate scientific, regulatory, and operational decisions into clear financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

This is a new role, and you will have the opportunity to shape how finance business partnering supports CMC and Quality. You will work proactively and independently, build relationships across the organization, and create structure where processes, priorities, and answers are not yet fully defined. Confidence in ambiguity will be essential as you help the organization move forward despite uncertainty and evolving information.

You will bring structure to complex situations and ensure that development and manufacturing decisions are made with a clear understanding of their value, risk, and long-term financial implications. Acting as a trusted advisor and sparring partner, you will assess alternative scenarios, model financial outcomes, evaluate probabilities of success, and quantify risks associated with different development pathways.

You will develop robust financial models incorporating scenario planning, risk-adjusted outcomes, timeline assumptions, and investment trade-offs to support stage-gate decisions, manufacturing scale-up strategies, technology transfers, and capital investments. You will independently drive analyses from question to recommendation, prioritize effectively, and ensure stakeholders have the right financial insights at the right time.

Beyond core business partnering responsibilities, you will contribute to strategic initiatives such as biologics manufacturing strategy, cost-of-quality transparency, development governance, and the evaluation of AI use cases. You will also actively leverage AI and digital tools to strengthen financial analysis, improve modelling efficiency, generate deeper insights, and support better decision-making across CMC and Quality.

Your future team

You will join the PDS Finance team and operate at the heart of Lundbeck’s CMC and Quality organization, partnering with senior leaders to support critical development, manufacturing, and quality decisions.

While embedded in CMC and Quality decision-making, you will work within a highly collaborative network spanning R&D Finance, Procurement, project teams, and key external partners. You will be part of a team that values initiative, sound judgement, constructive challenge, and the ability to create clarity and momentum in a complex environment.

The position is based in Valby, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

You are a senior professional who is comfortable working in scientific, regulated, and high-uncertainty environments. You enjoy translating complexity into clear financial logic and thrive when partnering with stakeholders across both finance and technical functions.

You are proactive, independent, and highly structured. You take ownership, create clarity where information is incomplete, and confidently move initiatives forward without needing every detail or process to be defined in advance.

You likely bring:

- 10+ years of experience in business partnering, project management, project finance, R&D finance, manufacturing finance, or a related area

- Strong modelling skills, including scenario modelling, risk-adjusted analysis, and decision support under uncertainty

- Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating complex business choices into clear financial implications

- The ability to support investment decisions, stage-gate governance, and long-term development or manufacturing strategies

- A track record of bringing structure to complex, ambiguous, or evolving situations

- The ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive analyses and recommendations from question to conclusion

- Curiosity and a proactive interest in applying AI and digital tools to improve financial insight, decision-making, and ways of working

As a person, you are structured, curious, and confident working with ambiguity. You communicate clearly, exercise sound judgement, and can bridge scientific, technical, and financial perspectives. You are comfortable challenging constructively, asking the right questions, and taking initiative when the path forward is not fully defined. Above all, you are motivated by helping the business make better decisions where value, risk, and compliance all matter.
