Role Overview 🚀
As Senior Account Director, you will have full commercial responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 30 to 40 established customers, primarily across the Nordic market. Your focus will be on retaining and strengthening customer relationships while generating growth through renewals, upselling, cross-selling and expansion into additional products, business units and Nordic countries. You will work in partnership with a dedicated Customer Success Manager, who will lead areas such as adoption, value realisation and platform best practice, while you remain accountable for the overall commercial relationship.
This is a role for someone who can combine strategic account management with a proactive sales mentality, navigate complex stakeholder environments and create lasting value for both customers and Benifex.
Responsibilities 🤘
- Take full commercial ownership of a portfolio of approximately 30 to 40 existing customers.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that strengthen customer retention, increase account value and support sustainable growth.
- Lead customer renewals and secure commercially strong, mutually beneficial agreements.
- Identify and convert upsell, cross-sell and expansion opportunities across Benifex’s products and services.
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers and manage complex stakeholder groups across customer organisations.
- Lead commercial conversations and negotiations across opportunities with sales cycles ranging from a few weeks to up to a year.
- Collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders, including Customer Success Managers, the Nordic New Business team, the wider sales organisation and the legal team.
- Maintain strong commercial oversight of your portfolio, including opportunities, risks, renewals and revenue forecasts.
- Share insights and effective account-management practices with colleagues across the wider commercial team.
What are we looking for? 🔎
- 5+ years relevant experience, such as B2B sales, account management or business development
- A proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of existing customers.
- Demonstrated success delivering renewals, upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer portfolios.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build credibility with senior decision-makers.
- A commercial mindset and the ability to identify, develop and close opportunities within existing customer relationships.
- Confidence working collaboratively across Customer Success, new business sales and international teams.
- The ability to understand customers’ wider organisational structures and identify opportunities across business units or geographies.
- Professional fluency in Swedish and English.
Bonus points for:
- Experience within HR technology or Compensation & Benefits, or SaaS.
- A university degree or other relevant higher education.
- Experience of new business sales as well as strategic account management.
