About this role

Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor provides day-to-day direction and supervision of warehouse personnel while performing lead-level inventory control and warehouse operations work. This role plans and assigns daily work, trains and develops staff, monitors performance and attendance, enforces safety and quality standards, and serves as the first point of escalation for operational and personnel issues. The Warehouse Supervisor maintains a clean and orderly work environment, safely operates warehouse equipment and tools, provides customer service to clients and vendors, and provides reports to management.

Essential Functions ( Duties and Responsibilities)

Personnel and Team Leadership

- Plan, assign, and direct the daily work of warehouse staff; adjust staffing and task assignments to meet operational needs.

- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and cross-training for existing staff.

- Participate in interviewing and hiring recommendations for warehouse positions.

- Communicate company policies, safety standards, and operational updates to the team.

- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.

- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and productivity; address performance concerns and provide input to performance evaluations, corrective action, and disciplinary decisions.

- Resolve first-level employee questions, conflicts, and grievances; escalate issues as appropriate.

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of personnel and operational matters, including corrective action records, incident and accident reports, attendance documentation, and audit findings.

- Own team performance against established KPIs and take corrective action when standards are not met.

Warehouse Operations

- Receive, inspect, inbound, and store inventory parts.

- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; research and resolve inventory discrepancies.

- Pull, process, and outbound orders; prepare orders for shipping.

- Answer inventory management requests via phone, email, and online.

- Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory records.

- Maintain a high level of warehouse cleanliness and organization.

- Provide excellent customer service to clients and vendors.

- Operate warehouse equipment and tools as required, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

- Monitor quality control and perform process and facility audits.

- Assist with reporting, billing, and scheduling.

- Ensure staff compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and equipment certifications.

Work Environment

This position operates in an indoor warehouse setting in high and low temperature conditions with occasional outdoor work. The role frequently requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, telephone, and fax, plus the use of warehouse equipment such as rolling ladders, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to perform rigorous physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and whole-body movement, such as standing, reaching, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, carrying over 50 lbs, and repetitive hand motions requiring finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to hear, speak, and visually inspect are required.

Required Education and Experience

- 3 or more years of previous warehouse experience

- 2 or more years in a personnel supervisory capacity

- Technical proficiency with WMS and MS 365

Preferred Education and Experience

- Forklift certification

- Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems

- OSHA or safety training experience

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Satisfactory completion of background screening, drug screening, HIPAA training, Bloodborne Pathogen training, OSHA Warehouse training, and forklift training.

Work Authorization / Clearance

Satisfactory completion of TSA training.
