Job Summary:

The Project Coordinator independently manages logistics, communication, and site-condition reporting for assigned projects, and leads pre-construction site walks without review. This rung is the primary candidate pool for Field Supervisor I. Work is planned weekly with check-ins on exceptions.

Job Responsibilities:

- Attend project pre-construction anc kick-off meetings to become familiar with assigned projects

- Establish and maintain communication between all trades on the job site

- Confirm with the job-site Foreperson that all materials are properly secured and protected at end of day

- Submit next-day warehouse supply and equipment requests before cutoff as directed

- Promote excellent morale; effectively apply and enforce company standards, policies, and procedures; perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

- Track weather days on assigned job sites; ensure housekeeping is kept up daily and crew apparel codes are enforced

- Check inventory on incoming deliveries to ensure products match the order form; log and report discrepancies the same day

- Walk project sites with a Field Supervisor and document existing conditions including pavement, landscaping, signage, lighting, electrical equipment, traffic requirements, building conditions, dumpster enclosures, fencing, and storage

- Lead pre-construction site walks and produce existing-conditions reports accepted by the Project Manager without rework

- Communicate timeline changes and new project information to the Field Supervisor and Project Manager the same day

- Attend weekly General Contractor meetings when applicable; ensure specifications, shop drawings, and scope are being followed and escalate deviations

- Ensure jobs are closed out according to policy and specifications; mentor and train Project Coordinator I team members

- Assist with obtaining change-order authorization and with job-cost tracking; assist with just-in-time scheduling around changes and weather

- Maintain accurate material inventories to ensure required materials are available on site and repeat trips to the warehouse are avoided

- Coordinate logistics of deliveries, crane setup, and trash removal across multiple concurrent jobs

Safety Responsibilities:

- Identify and correct unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards

- Participate in daily safety audits and weekly toolbox talks

- Must possess an OSHA 30-hour card

Job Qualifications:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds, from board rooms to roof tops

- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications

- Strong organizational skills to coordinate and schedule tasks across multiple projects

- Ability to use computers, phones, iPads, and other technology tools, including Microsoft Office and Outlook and company software: Sage 300 (Timberline), Master Key, Work Max, Autodesk Build, and KPA

- Strong understanding of production goals and job budgeting

- English fluency required; valid driver's license; pass background check, drug screening, and obtain clearances where necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in roof system installation

- Demonstrated interest in crew leadership

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use hands for various tasks; vision capabilities may include close vision

- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind

- Must perform essential job functions safely and consistently in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards; reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the described roles

- Frequent climbing of ladders and hatches, bending, kneeling, walking job sites on level and uneven surfaces, and using hand and power tools
