DAD Field Sales Representative II
As a Crop Protection (CP)/Seeds & Traits (S&T) Field Sales Representative, you grow the market share of Bayer’s crop protection and seed business within a designated geography; you create demand for Bayer seed growth, crop protection, and seed products with retailers, dealers, and top growers, and you are accountable for achieving annual targets within your territory or squad. In this role, you act as a trusted partner to our customers and squad-mates, championing Bayer’s innovative portfolio while helping shape sustainable, data-driven growth for farming communities; you work closely with other Bayer commercial team members to turn agronomic insight and digital tools into real value for growers and our business.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Crop Protection (CP)/Seeds & Traits (S&T) Field Sales Representative, are to:
- Achieve assigned targets with Bayer products in coordination with squad-mates and actively support the successful delivery of overall squad goals;
- Develop and implement dealer business plans, proactively manage forecasting and inventory, address product line demand issues, set business direction, and coordinate follow-ups with dealers;
- Serve as the key business consultant to retailers and dealers, effectively selling the value of Bayer Crop Science products and championing Bayer brands through strong product, portfolio, technical, and agronomic knowledge;
- Collaborate with squad-mates (FSRs, SAs, TAs, DELs) and Product Agronomy Specialists (PAS) to maximize services, information, and sales to preferred growers and key customer accounts;
- Actively manage inventory concerns and utilize market and competitive information and data analysis to make key decisions that drive business outcomes;
- Follow set strategies to achieve long- and short-term business plans for key accounts and your assigned area, while effectively managing expenses, discretionary dollars, and program payments to enable top- and bottom-line growth;
- Ensure strong program execution and fulfillment, including national and regional marketing initiatives, and successfully partner with FSRs/SAs to manage relationships with top growers and retailers and plan for their evolving business needs;
- Act as a mentor to FSR interns, trainees, or more junior FSRs as requested by leadership, manage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy and process, and travel approximately ~60% with significant daily face-to-face customer interaction.

Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, including strong interpersonal, oral and written abilities;
- Demonstrated initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results in a rapid-paced and matrixed environment;
- Strong business acumen with solid account planning, influencing, critical thinking, and financial, time, and territory management skills;
- Proven ability to multi-task effectively while managing multiple priorities and customer needs;
- Strong user-level computer and presentation skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Demonstrated digital acumen and ability to analyze data to influence decisions and create value for customers;
- Willingness to travel extensively (~60%) and live/work in a rural environment, with a strong interest in supporting collaboration and teamwork;
- Position requires driving for the company that may fall under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction, which may include hauling trailers, products, supplies, or equipment safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 + years experience in Sales, marketing, account management or agriculture OR other education level and 7+ years of listed experience;
- Demonstrated product, portfolio and agronomic knowledge in crop protection and seeds markets.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $72,000.00- $108,000.00 .Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
