About this role

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Financial Accountant based in Kempton Park, South Africa. You'll play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting audit and compliance activities, and driving continuous improvement across our Africa region finance function.

What you'll do as Financial Accountant:

- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, including prepayments, accruals, and payroll-related accounts, ensuring reconciling items are identified and resolved promptly.
- Review trial balances across South Africa and the Africa region, investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Partner with BPO providers to ensure timely and accurate statutory and financial reporting requirements are met.
- Support internal and external audits through the preparation of reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation, while driving closure of audit, compliance, and control actions.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, balance sheet governance, and Power BI reporting capabilities across the region.

You are:

- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- An experienced Financial Accountant with strong knowledge of month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Highly analytical, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data and collaborating with BPO, audit, compliance, and operational stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
