About this role
At Viaplay Group, we entertain millions of people every day through our streaming services, radio networks, and TV channels. We believe in the power of content not just as a way of telling stories and touching lives, but also expanding worlds.
We’re looking for the best people to join us on our journey. Right now, we’re searching for a Technical Procurement Specialist in our Stockholm office – are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change?
The Role
As a Technical Procurement Specialist, you will lead procurement activities across software, technology services and strategic partnerships within Viaplay's Product, Data & Technology organisation.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will lead commercial negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that agreements deliver value while supporting business needs. You will join a small and collaborative procurement team and help secure the right solutions and services for Viaplay.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations and contract discussions with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from requirement gathering and supplier evaluation to contract execution and renewal
- Drive software, licensing and IT services procurement activities across the Product, Data & Technology organisation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Legal and Finance, and provide clear commercial insights and recommendations to senior and C-level stakeholders
- Evaluate commercial opportunities and develop business cases to support sourcing decisions, including cost optimisation and improved commercial terms
- Support large-scale technology projects and procurement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation
What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we believe you’ll bring experience in the following areas:
- Extensive experience in procurement, ideally gained within technology, software, IT services, or a related field
- Proven experience managing procurement processes from sourcing and supplier evaluation through to negotiation and contract management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and understand business needs across different levels of the organisation
- Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you can operate both strategically and hands-on
- A self-driven and proactive approach, with the ability to independently lead initiatives and drive them to completion
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Experience procuring cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks or similar large-scale technology services
- Experience from the media and entertainment industry
What we offer you
- We’ve got you covered! 30 days of paid vacation every year, an attractive pension and insurance scheme, and generous parental leave pay lift.
- Your wellbeing matters. We provide you with various wellbeing initiatives including wellness allowance.
- Flexibility that works. We follow a hybrid model with at least three days a week in the office, giving you the best mix of collaboration and focus time.
- A safe space to grow and up-skill. Our learning culture puts you in the driver’s seat of your own development.
- An innovative environment with Hack Days once a year. This week-long initiative allows you to think outside the box and deliver creative, technical solutions that (more often than not) go on to be implemented, either in our product or our ways of working.
- Entertainment is what we love, and entertainment is what we do. So, unlimited access to Viaplay seems only fair for you to get to know the product – including serier & viewing events, new release movie rentals, linear channels and more.
