# Job Description Summary
As the Technical Leader for Mechanical Sub-systems within the Troubleshooting Fleet Performance Engineering team, you will serve as the primary engineering authority for the mechanical integrity and performance of our wind turbine fleet. You will lead cross-functional efforts to identify, investigate, and resolve complex mechanical failures, drive fleet reliability improvements, and mentor junior engineers. You will bridge the gap between design engineering, field operations, and data analytics to optimize the operational life of our assets.

Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Technical Leadership
Technical Authority : Serve as the primary subject matter expert for mechanical sub-systems, providing authoritative solutions for complex fleet issues escalated by the Service teams.
Influential Leadership : Lead cross-functional projects of moderate scope and risk. Build consensus among stakeholders and utilize expert persuasion to drive technical alignment across internal and external teams.
Mentorship : Act as a technical mentor, elevating the capabilities of the team by providing guidance to less experienced engineers and fostering a high-performance culture.
Trend Analysis & Prevention : Work cross-functionally with Monitoring and Data teams to identify failure trends at an early stage. Support with implementing proactive technical strategies to mitigate risks before they evolve into significant business cost drivers.
Operational Excellence & Support
Technical Oversight : Provide direct technical supervision for fleet escalation and retrofits and validate performance improvement initiatives to ensure desired outcomes are achieved safely and effectively.
Knowledge Management : Drive the development and continuous improvement of field troubleshooting guides, ensuring field technicians have the most accurate and actionable information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree of Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Field Services or Engineering

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
