Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid/Onsite as needed) Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 base salary A leading life sciences organization is seeking multiple Business Development Managers to support the growth of its research and preclinical services business. This is an excellent opportunity for scientists looking to transition into a commercial-facing role while remaining closely connected to cutting-edge drug discovery and translational research programs.
### Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and research organizations. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories. Partner with scientific and operational teams to understand client needs and propose appropriate service solutions. Present company capabilities to prospective clients and support proposal discussions. Attend scientific conferences, industry meetings, and networking events. Manage opportunities through the sales cycle and maintain accurate activity tracking.
### Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Immunology, Pharmacology, Biology, or another Life Sciences discipline. Hands-on experience working with mouse models in an academic, industry, or research setting. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to engage with scientific stakeholders and build long-term business relationships. Interest in business development, sales, client management, or commercial operations within life sciences.
### Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a client-facing, business development, sales, account management, or scientific consulting role. Experience supporting drug discovery, preclinical research, or related scientific services.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
