About this role
We are seeking an experienced Apparel Quality Control Inspector to inspect garment production at factories in Los Angeles and immediately surrounding suburbs. This is a part-time, project-based role with recurring inspection opportunities throughout the year.
Responsibilities
• Conduct in-line / during-production inspections (DUPRO), Final Random Inspections (FRI), and Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI).
• Perform 100% inspections when required.
• Check measurements against approved specifications and tolerances.
• Inspect workmanship, construction, fabric appearance, color consistency, trims, hardware, and labels.
• Check for visual defects, stains, damage, packing, and assortment issues.
• Classify defects and prepare detailed photographic inspection reports.
• Communicate findings and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
• Apparel or garment inspection experience.
• Knowledge of garment construction, measurements, workmanship, and common defects.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and maintain a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to travel to factories in Los Angeles and nearby suburbs.
Preferred Experience
• 1–3 years of relevant on-site experience.
• Experience with recurring factory inspections and apparel production quality standards.
• Familiarity with AQL sampling and defect classification.
