Role Description:
A triparty transaction is a repo or funding transaction with a third party or clearing bank (BONY in our case) in the middle of the transaction. The triparty team supports the Rates/Repo Front Office and participate in the due diligence and execution of available BNY offerings aimed at enhancing the firm’s ability to manage liquidity on a daily basis. Candidate would be exposed to the inner workings of floor funding mechanisms, day-to-day operations in the FED space, and be provided with exposure to the Trading desk and Treasury teams we support.
Responsibilities:
- Allocation of collateral and maintenance of Tri-Party Repos which reach upwards of $100B/day notional.
- Manage firm liquidity and funding by maximizing collateral allocations to ensure there are minimal unfinanced collateral costs.
- Strong support for trading and sales desks, allowing the implementation of complex collateral allocations and new client business.
- Work with settlements to ensure deliveries are made on a timely manner and do not hinder firm liquidity.
- Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders on a daily basis and assist in any setbacks with trade discrepancies.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- 6+ years of experience in Tri-party or Liquidity Operations role at a broker dealer
- 3+ years managing a team within Operations or Middle Office
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Motivated self-starter capable of excelling in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work towards tight deadlines
- Proactive and detail orientated.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel
- Series 99 or willingness to sit for required exam.
