Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our fast-paced Sterile Processing Department. Our team supports an average of 65 surgical cases per day and processes approximately 1,200 instrument trays daily. Specializing in Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, and Pediatrics, we also support Urology, General Surgery, Gynecology, and other service lines. Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and trays.
- Pick and prepare case carts and surgical supplies accurately for scheduled procedures.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and quality standards.
- Identify instrument and supply needs while ensuring proper inventory management.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and fellow staff to support patient care.
- Participate in departmental training and educational initiatives within a teaching environment.
Essential Skills
- Two years of experience in sterile processing.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, tray assembly, and sterilization processes.
- Strong understanding of surgical supplies and case-picking procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CBSPD OR IAHCSMM/HSPA Certifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced surgical environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Work Environment The position includes a 3-day orientation on the day shift, with the first day's arrival time at 8am-4:30pm and days 2 and 3 from 6am-2:30pm. On the fourth day, the technician will transition to their contracted shift, which is 5x8 nights from 10:00pm-6:30am. The role may require floating to another Campus and working some weekends to meet department needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
