Shipping and Receiving Specialist
A Shipping and Receiving Specialist works under Level 2 management and fulfills all job tasks received. Delivery Truck and Warehouse Equipment operation is required for this position.
Note: This is a part-time position 17.5 hours per week.
What you’ll do in this position:
- Be available to receive freight at warehouse
- Manage delivery schedule and student employees assigned to central receiving
- Maintain warehouse space as directed by level 2 and lead
- undefined
- Required to complete all safety training.
- Respond to unscheduled daily shop requests which vary in nature and urgency.
- May require overtime and late-night work assignments.
- Other duties and responsibilities such as special events, surplus, furniture installation or other responsibilities as assigned by Moving Shop Management.

Required

- Has excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- The ability to maintain a good working relationship with all involved personnel, including treating others with respect and kindness.
- Assumes responsibility for personal conduct which supports both the University and Departmental standards while promoting a positive image of Physical Facilities and Moving Services.
- Adheres to university standards and policies.
- Supports the department and university mission statements.
- Has a valid Utah Drivers' License
- Ability to complete BYU CMV program upon employment.
- Forklift and lift truck certified upon employment.
Preferred
- Related experience with Shipping and Receiving.

Pay Grade: 47
Typical Starting Pay: $19.25 to $24.50
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
