Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lead Program Instructor to guide afternoon enrichment activities and support daily site management. In this key leadership role, you will lead high-energy sessions for elementary and middle school students while partnering directly with the Site Director to maintain smooth operations, mentor instructional staff, and uphold high standards of safety and classroom quality.
This position is ideal for experienced educators or youth leaders looking to build leadership and administrative experience in an after-school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Leadership & Operational Support:
Partner with the Site Director to manage day-to-day operations, maintain program documentation, and step in as site leader when additional leadership support is needed.
- Oversee smooth daily logistics, student sign-ins/check-outs, activity transitions, and strict safety compliance.
- Instructional Delivery & Student Engagement:
Lead lively, interactive K–8 activities across STEM, creative arts, and sports, fostering a supportive environment that encourages social-emotional growth and positive behavior.
- Team Coaching & Mentorship:
Serve as a peer mentor and resource for instructors; assist with onboarding, model classroom management techniques, and monitor activity quality across classrooms.
- Communication & Community Connections:
Assist in maintaining open communication with parents, school partners, and program managers regarding updates, student progress, and site successes.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years working with K–8 youth in school, after-school, camp, recreation, or enrichment environments.
- Leadership Focus: Prior experience coaching, mentoring, or leading peers in an educational setting preferred.
- Classroom Management: Strong background in positive behavior management and proactive youth guidance.
- Communication & Reliability: Excellent organizational skills, clear verbal/written communication, and dependable punctuality.
- Certifications: Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to complete upon hire).
- Checks & Clearances: Ability to pass a required criminal background check; willingness to complete all BAM! training modules.
- Logistics & Physical Abilities: Valid Drivers License or State ID with reliable transportation; ability to lift/carry up to 20–50 lbs periodically.

- Job Type: Part-Time (Mon–Fri, 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
- Pay Rate: $22.00 / hour
