What You'll Do
As the Project Manager, Transmission, you will:
- Manage transmission line and substation projects through planning, design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and operational integration.
- Drive project scope, schedule, budgets, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate engineering, environmental, construction, operations, consultants, and contractors throughout project execution.
- Lead project reviews, contractor procurement, bid package development, and construction oversight activities.
- Support estimating, outage planning, material procurement, and commissioning efforts.
- Work closely with internal teams, utility partners, landowners, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, quality, or safety.
- Represent projects in public meetings and stakeholder discussions as needed.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct transmission project experience (5+ years preferred).
- Experience managing transmission line and/or substation projects within a utility, consulting, EPC, or utility construction environment.
- Strong understanding of transmission planning, design, construction, and commissioning practices.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contractor coordination.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with transmission permitting, environmental compliance, and utility regulatory processes.
- Familiarity with construction bid packages, technical specifications, and contractor procurement.
- Experience supporting MISO-related transmission projects, generation interconnections, or utility capital programs.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Maple Grove, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $68.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
