About this role

The Specialty Finance Trade Administrator supports the end-to-end trade and transaction lifecycle for a portfolio primarily focused on structured private credit facilities and whole loan portfolios. The Trade Administrator acts as a central coordinator among Portfolio Managers, Traders, Deal Team Origination Members, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Prime Brokers, Custodians, Agent Banks, service providers, and Brokers to ensure trading and private deal activity is reflected accurately across systems and records.

Key Responsibilities

- Support trading account and security master set-up activities

- Validate completeness and accuracy of transaction booking across trading, operations, and finance—including public securities, private deal closings and post-close lifecycle events.

- Coordinate trade administration activities for whole loan acquisitions, including loan onboarding, data validation, trade capture, allocation, funding coordination, documentation review, and settlement with originator platforms and internal stakeholders.

- Engage with deal team on private asset transactions approaching close: capture deal economics, confirm system set-up, and ensure booking is complete and accurate

- Coordinate with brokers (public) and agent banks/counterparties (private) on execution details, corrections, and documentation requirements.

- Reconcile trade capture between OMS/EMS, broker confirms, matching platforms, and accounting books; ensure prompt correction of discrepancies.

- Escalate fails risk and aged exceptions; coordinate remediation plans with internal and external counterparties.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree; Finance, Accounting, or Economics majors preferred.

- 4 –7 + years of experience in trade administration, middle office, or fund operations, ideally supporting an investment desk.

- Demonstrated exposure to trade support for public securities and/or private credit/specialty finance transactions.

- Experience with coordinating complex private deal closes, including documentation tracking and interpretation, funding/wire coordination, and post-close lifecycle event processing.

- Strong OMS/EMS proficiency and trade lifecycle knowledge across multiple asset classes.

- Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with large datasets and building controls/reconciliations.

- Experience with agent bank / loan administration platforms.

- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to coordinate effectively across wide range of stakeholders.

- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and disciplined escalation practices.

- Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to perform in time-sensitive situations.

- Commitment to a control-oriented, institutional operating culture.

Preferred Qualifications

- CFA and/or CAIA

- Familiarity with illiquid asset valuation and reconciliation nuances.

- Experience working with fund administrators and/or shadow NAV validation processes.

- Familiarity with Aladdin, Bloomberg, Arcesium, Snowflake/SQL.

Location: New York City; hybrid with a minimum of three days per week in office.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$130,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
