Medical Assistant – Traveling GI Procedure Team

Looking for a Medical Assistant role thats anything but routine?

Were looking for a sharp, organized, adaptable Medical Assistant to serve as the providers right hand while traveling to outreach locations throughout Wyoming.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced MA who enjoys working closely with a provider, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in staying one step ahead. Youll travel throughout Wyoming year-round, supporting the provider during procedures and handling the critical documentation and charting that keeps the day running smoothly.

This position is not a traditional clinic MA role. There is very little front-desk or patient-greeting work. Instead, youll be deeply involved in the clinical workflow, procedure support, documentation, and provider communication.

What Youll Do

Be the Providers Right Hand

- Work directly alongside the provider during procedures.

- Anticipate the providers needs and help keep procedures moving efficiently.

- Document procedures and patient information accurately and in real time.

- Take detailed notes and complete all provider charting and documentation in the EMR.

- Keep charts organized, complete, and ready for the provider.

- Communicate important patient information and changes to the provider promptly.

- Monitor patients during and around procedures and immediately report any concerns or changes in condition.

Own the Documentation

A major part of this role is documentation and chart management. Youll manage extensive paperwork and ensure the providers charts are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Youll also:

- Complete extensive chart work and provider documentation.

- Handle pathology letters and follow-up documentation.

- Assist with patient phone calls and questions regarding procedure preparation and follow-up.

- Facilitate patient referrals.

- Enter pertinent information into the EMR.

- Complete administrative and clerical tasks associated with the providers practice.

Travel Throughout Wyoming

This position will travel with the provider to outreach locations throughout the state of Wyoming, year-round .

Expect:

- Early mornings.

- Frequent travel.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Medical Assistant Licensing preferred

- BLS certification required

- Experience with GI or Pain Management preferred

- Proficiency in MS Excel

- Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.

- Willing to travel frequently
