Shipping & Receiving Supervisor - Distribution Center
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Onsite, 5 Days Per Week
Salary Range: $69,000 - $71,000 annually

Are you a hands-on warehouse and distribution leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead daily operations within our Distribution Center and help drive efficiency, accuracy, safety, and exceptional customer service.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who enjoys managing teams, improving processes, and ensuring products move seamlessly throughout the supply chain.
What You'll Do
As the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Distribution Center, including:
- Leading and developing a team of up to 25 warehouse employees, team leaders, and group leaders
- Managing outbound order fulfillment, picking, staging, and shipping activities
- Overseeing inbound receiving, inspection, verification, and put-away processes
- Coordinating inventory transfers between warehouse locations
- Managing customer returns and inventory accuracy initiatives
- Supervising cycle count programs and inventory control processes
- Supporting e-commerce order fulfillment operations
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer service
- Collaborating with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Transportation, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Monitoring department performance and proactively addressing operational challenges
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Associate degree in Business Logistics or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or distribution experience
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a warehouse environment
- Forklift certification
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
