Position Information
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented consultant, to support healthcare organizations utilizing the solutions within our SaaS-based platform, which support the overarching Peer Review/Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE) processes for managing the providers competency lifecycle. This role serves as a subject matter expert for provider Peer Review/PPE processes, including Clinical Privileging, Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) for New Privileges, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) for Cause, and Case Review workflows.
The ideal candidate is a Medical Services Professional (MSP) and/or Professional in Healthcare Quality who combines extensive Peer Review/PPE experience with strong regulatory and accreditation knowledge to guide clients in implementing best practices, optimizing workflows, and ensuring regulatory and accreditation alignment within the platform. This position works collaboratively with healthcare leaders, physicians, medical staff offices, quality departments, technical/EHR resources, medical coding professionals, implementation teams, and product stakeholders to drive successful adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
- Serve as a clinical solutions consultant and subject matter expert for Peer Review/PPE, including Clinical Privileging, FPPE for New Privileges, OPPE, FPPE for Cause, and Case Review processes within the SaaS platform.
- Assist healthcare clients with workflow design, implementation, and optimization of provider Peer Review/PPE) programs.
- Interpret and apply regulatory and accreditation standards from organizations such as:
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- The Joint Commission (TJC)
- Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
- Accreditation Association for Ambulatory HealthCare (AAAHC)
- Accreditation Commission on Healthcare (ACHC)
- State and organizational Peer Review/Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE) standards
- Assist clients with developing and implementing clinical privilege forms and quality metrics related to provider privileges,
- Guide clients through the patient data validation process, including review of coding attribution and alignment with coding in privilege forms.
- Collaborate with physician leadership, medical staff offices, quality departments, and clinical teams to assess processes and identify operational and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide education, training, and ongoing support to platform users and client stakeholders.
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into platform recommendations and enhancement feedback for internal product teams.
- Analyze privileging process, clinical quality data and performance metrics trends to support informed decision-making.
- Develop documentation, including best practice recommendations for workflow guides, training materials, and webinar and conference presentations.
- Participate in client meetings, implementation calls, and strategic advisory sessions.
- Maintain current industry knowledge of Peer Review/PPE processes, standards, methodologies, and best practices
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor degree in related discipline; or equivalent professional experience in Peer Reviewe/PPE processes
- Nursing (BSN), Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Technology or related field preferred.
- A minimum of - 7+ years industry experience, specifically in Peer Review/PPE.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.
- Prior consulting or client-facing experience strongly preferred.

- Ability to travel 30% of the time.
- This position is primarily sedentary in a normal office environment.

Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $$89,637 - $111,456. Salary will be determined by the candidates level of experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and performance in similar roles.
