Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our headquarters team and support the full cycle of accounts receivable activities. In this role, you ensure accurate payment processing, timely reconciliation of deposits, and precise application of customer payments, while collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders. You contribute directly to the integrity of financial records and play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships. Responsibilities

- Reconcile and process all paper, electronic, and credit card receipts that are not automatically posted through the PeopleSoft system.
- Handle and process payments, including checks, that are not posted through the accounts receivable system.
- Research and resolve unidentified accounts receivable checks to ensure proper allocation and accurate records.
- Verify that all payment information is accurate and applied to the correct customer accounts.
- Use web-based image applications to retrieve, review, and process payment-related documentation.
- Process and reconcile daily bank deposits for both accounts receivable and non-accounts receivable transactions.
- Retrieve, compile, and process all Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Research and retrieve imaged check requests to support payment processing and reconciliation activities.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service to internal and external customers regarding payment and account inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members in accounts receivable and related departments to meet shared goals and deadlines.
- Perform other accounts receivable duties as requested to support the needs of the department.

Essential Skills

- 02 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including comfort with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other advanced functions.
- Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes, payment processing, and bank deposit reconciliation.
- Ability to use web-based image applications to access and process financial documents.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Customer service mindset with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Knowledge of PeopleSoft applications is a plus.
- Experience working with accounts receivable, AR/A/R, and payment processing functions.
- Familiarity with processing bank deposits and reviewing bank reports.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Comfort working in a structured, process-driven finance or accounting setting.

Work Environment This position is based on-site in a headquarters environment that houses accounts receivable, human resources, and accounts payable departments. You work in a cubicle-based office alongside a close-knit team of approximately 810 colleagues who value collaboration, mutual support, and a family-like atmosphere. The team regularly spends lunch together and participates in group activities and celebrations to recognize collective achievements. The schedule is Monday through Friday, fully in-office with no remote work, offering a stable routine and frequent face-to-face interaction with teammates.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
