About this role
The E-Commerce Business Lead is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and profitability of the EMEA e-commerce business. This role owns the development and execution of the regional e-commerce strategy, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, customer acquisition, and digital channel performance across multiple markets.
With full accountability for the e-commerce P&L , this Senior Manager will lead commercial initiatives, digital sales channel development, and customer experience enhancement while ensuring alignment with broader Aftermarket EMEA business objectives. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Product Management teams to deliver sustainable growth and operational excellence.
As a key member of the commercial organization, will identify new business opportunities, strengthen digital capabilities, optimize online customer engagement, and ensure best-in-class execution across all e-commerce platforms and partners.
What you will do:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute the EMEA e-commerce strategy aligned with the company's growth ambitions and commercial objectives.
- Own and manage the e-commerce P&L, ensuring delivery of revenue, margin, profitability, and growth targets.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand digital sales channels, marketplace participation, and online customer acquisition.
- Develop long-term business plans and growth initiatives to increase market penetration and digital sales contribution.
Commercial Performance Management
- Drive online sales growth and optimize commercial performance across all e-commerce channels.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), customer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks.
- Lead pricing strategies, promotional activities, assortment optimization, and channel-specific sales initiatives to maximize profitability.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports while recommending corrective actions when required.
Customer & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic e-commerce customers, marketplaces, distributors, platform providers, and external partners.
- Ensure customer requirements and service expectations are effectively translated into actionable business plans.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams to drive seamless execution of e-commerce initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional projects supporting digital transformation, process optimization, and business growth.
- Ensure alignment between e-commerce priorities and broader EMEA commercial objectives.
Digital Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee the optimization of digital content, product visibility, search performance, customer engagement, and conversion rates.
- Leverage data analytics and market insights to enhance decision-making and improve business performance.
- Promote best practices and develop organizational capabilities related to digital commerce and online sales management.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop team members as applicable, fostering a high-performance and high-care culture.
- Influence stakeholders across the organization to ensure commitment to e-commerce priorities and business objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for digital commerce within the Aftermarket EMEA organization.
What will make you successful:
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Commerce, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in e-commerce, digital sales, marketing, commercial management, or related fields; preferred in Automotive aftermarket field.
- Demonstrated success in driving profitable online sales growth and managing digital business operations.
- Proven experience with sales and accountability for commercial performance.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce business models, digital marketing principles, customer acquisition, and online sales optimization.
- Experience managing strategic customer relationships, marketplaces, and digital commerce platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
- Experience working successfully within an international and matrix organization.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Previous people leadership experience preferred.
