Position Summary:

The College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Outreach Program Coordinator in Boca Raton, FL.

The Outreach Program Coordinator will support the implementation of Rising Strong: Empowering Youth for Substance-Free Futures, a federally funded youth substance use prevention initiative within the Department of Prevention Medicine and Health Sciences. The position will work closely with the Program Director, program staff, and community partners to coordinate and deliver prevention activities for youth and families, conduct community outreach, support the program's education and awareness campaign, and strengthen engagement with schools and community organizations across Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

Summary Of Responsibilities:

- Coordinate day-to-day implementation of Rising Strong activities across community sites.
- Travel to community sites throughout Palm Beach and Broward Counties and participate in occasional evening or weekend activities.

- Facilitate, deliver, and support prevention and health promotion sessions for youth, parents, and families, including evidence-based programming and educational activities.

- Conduct community outreach and help identify opportunities to engage youth and families in Rising Strong activities.

- Build and maintain relationships with schools, youth-serving organizations, community agencies, and other partners.

- Support implementation of the Rising Strong public education and awareness campaign, including community outreach, social media, educational materials, and program events.

- Support youth engagement activities, including recruitment, participation, and the Rising Strong Youth Advisory Board.

- Coordinate program schedules, outreach activities, meetings, events, materials, and implementation logistics.

- Represent Rising Strong at community meetings, health fairs, school activities, and other outreach events.

- Maintain program records and track participation, outreach activities, and other required program measures.

- Support collection and management of program and evaluation data.

- Assist with program reports, presentations, and other required documentation.

- Work collaboratively with program staff, evaluators, students, and community partners.

- Perform other program-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Valid Florida Driver's License required. This position requires travel to community sites throughout Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

Preferred degree in public health, social work, psychology, behavioral sciences, education, health sciences, communications, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working directly with youth, young adults, families, or community-based populations.

Experience with community outreach, health education, youth programming, or community-based initiatives.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including comfort speaking with groups and engaging community members.

Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in community settings.

Experience in youth development, substance use prevention, behavioral health, public health, or health promotion.

Experience facilitating educational or prevention activities with youth or families.

Experience with community outreach and partnership development.

Experience with social media, health communication, public education campaigns, or community-facing communications.

Experience supporting grant-funded community programs or program evaluation.

Experience working with diverse and underserved communities.

Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.

Salary:
$50,000 - $60,000 Annually
