About this role

Beacon Biosignals is transforming precision medicine for the brain, from clinical development to clinical care. For Life Sciences partners, we offer the leading at-home EEG platform for clinical development of novel therapeutics for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. Our Diagnostics business is building the most comprehensive at-home platform for precision diagnostics, combining EEG and cardiopulmonary signals to deliver reimbursable assessments for sleep and central nervous system disorders. Together, we're changing the way patients are diagnosed and treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will join Beacon's Clinical Implementation team, reporting to the National Clinical Implementation Director. This is a remote, US-based individual contributor role anchored in our West territory, with travel to customer sites across your assigned region. The role does not carry direct reports, but you will mentor peers and newer specialists and may direct the work of others on implementation projects.

You will own the clinical and operational implementation of Beacon's diagnostic solutions for assigned customers, guiding sleep labs, health systems, and provider organizations from contract pre-signature through confident, sustained daily use of our products. Day to day, that means delivering demos, building implementation plans, running clinical education and training, supporting go-lives, and coaching accounts through adoption after launch.

This is not a traditional implementation role focused only on deployment and go-live milestones. Your impact is measured by sustained usage, behavioral adoption, and long-term workflow integration. At this level, your influence extends beyond your own accounts: you set the standards, playbooks, and best practices the broader team works from, and you help shape where the clinical implementation function goes over the next several quarters.

The role is highly cross-functional and requires strong communication, systems thinking, empathy, and execution discipline. You will work across clinicians, executives, and frontline staff while maintaining clarity, momentum, and trust throughout the customer journey.

Beacon's robust asynchronous work practices ensure a first-class remote work experience, but we also have in-person office hubs available located in Boston, New York, or the Bay Area.

What Success Looks Like:

- You own end-to-end implementation execution for your accounts such as kickoff, project planning, milestone tracking, risk identification, and stabilization, and the accounts transition cleanly into steady-state support with decisions and configurations documented.

- You provide virtual and on-site clinical support across every phase of implementation, from pre-planning and education through go-live and post-launch troubleshooting.

- You build implementation plans that account for clinical workflow design, staffing models, order and result routing, patient communication, and administrative processes, and you coordinate resources across Customer Success, Clinical, Technical Services, Support, and Product to keep them on schedule.

- You deliver comprehensive training and demos tailored to each audience (physicians, advanced practice providers, sleep technologists, medical assistants, schedulers, and administrative staff) and maintain the reusable materials, quick-reference guides, and competency checklists that make training repeatable.

- You own adoption outcomes, tracking utilization, ordering patterns, turnaround, and workflow adherence against agreed targets, and delivering refresher training as turnover, new hires, and product changes require.

- You diagnose the root cause of low or inconsistent usage (workflow friction, training gaps, staffing constraints, process breakdown) in situations where the data alone does not give you the answer, and you drive corrective action.

- You partner with clinical and operational leaders to redesign workflows so Beacon is embedded in daily practice, and you connect usage data back to the customer's stated clinical and operational goals.

- You serve as the clinical operational point of contact through pre-sale, implementation, and early adoption, building trusted relationships from frontline staff to the executive level and communicating status, risks, and decisions proactively.

- You act as the clinical subject matter expert on sleep testing workflows and home sleep apnea testing, ensuring clinical messaging and training content align with product capabilities, supporting evidence, and regulatory requirements.

- You exercise independent judgment on methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria, including how implementations are sequenced, how adoption is measured, and what counts as a stabilized account, and you determine your own approach on first-of-kind customers, new indications, and accounts with no precedent.

- You partner with Regional Sales Managers on clean handoffs, participate in QBRs and renewal or expansion discussions, and surface adoption risks, churn signals, and expansion opportunities early with supporting evidence.

- You give Product structured feedback grounded in real implementation experience, identify recurring friction points, propose scalable solutions, and support go-to-market readiness for new features and indications.

- You mentor and coach peers and newer specialists on strategy, execution, customer judgment, and collaboration, including areas outside their functional skillset, and you build the templates and playbooks that raise the team's standard.

- You prioritize and plan multi-quarter priorities for the clinical implementation function, represent it in cross-team planning with Sales, Product, and Customer Success, and make decisions based on the needs of multiple stakeholder teams and the company as a whole.

- You initiate improvement projects independently, arriving with a defensible approach rather than waiting for direction, where recurring gaps in process, tooling, or enablement limit team outcomes.

- You adhere to all regulatory, compliance, quality, and privacy standards applicable to medical devices and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), including HIPAA, and support audits, documentation, and quality processes as required.

Must-Haves:

- Active RPSGT certification

- 8+ years of direct experience in sleep medicine, sleep lab operations, or home sleep apnea testing

- Demonstrated experience owning demos, customer implementations, clinical training, or go-live support in healthcare settings

- Experience delivering training and education to both clinical and administrative audiences

- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Support, Marketing, and Product teams

- Demonstrated experience mentoring or coaching peers, and setting standards or best practices adopted beyond your own work

- Experience planning work across multiple quarters and multiple stakeholder groups

- Willingness to travel nationally (up to ~50-75%), including on-site go-live support

- Familiarity with CRM tools, enablement platforms, and project tracking tools

- US-based, anchored in the West territory

Nice-to-Haves

- Adoption-focused mindset. You measure success by sustained usage, workflow integration, and customer outcomes rather than implementation completion alone.

- Clinical workflow fluency. You understand sleep lab workflows and how clinicians and their teams operate in practice, not just on paper.

- Systems and operational thinking. You see how implementation, training, adoption, workflow optimization, and customer success connect into a single operating system.

- Independent judgment at scale. Your recommendations are trusted without close oversight, and you are comfortable defining the approach when no playbook exists.

- A multiplier effect. You raise the performance of those around you through mentorship, reusable best practices, and standards that outlast any single implementation.

- Comfort in a fast-paced environment. You execute effectively in a high-growth startup where priorities evolve quickly.

- Familiarity with CRM tools, enablement platforms, project tracking tools, and healthcare IT systems (EHR/EMR exposure a plus).

- Experience supporting SaMD or regulated medical device products.

- Prior experience at an early- or growth-stage healthcare company.

- Experience building a function's playbooks, templates, or training curricula from the ground up.
