Student Financial Assistance:
The Office of Student Financial Assistance (SFA) supports UCF students through the administration of federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid programs. With a focus on student service, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and access to higher education, the office partners across the university to ensure students receive accurate, timely, and equitable financial aid services. SFA is a fast-paced, collaborative environment committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and helping students navigate the financial aspects of their UCF experience.
The Opportunity :
The Office Support Assistant for SFA performs a wide variety of general office support duties. Duties include data entry, mail handling, filing, composing routine correspondence, answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling, and arranging simple events.
Responsibilities:
External and Internal Relations:
- Greet visitors and direct them to the correct location.
- Answer external phone calls and direct inquiries correctly within the organization.
- Provide information for routine inquiries.
- Accept and sign for deliveries.
- Screen, sort, and distribute mail.
Office Support:
- Ensure standard office machinery (e.g., phones, printers, copiers, and fax) is in working order.
- Support scheduling efforts of individuals and meeting spaces.
- Assist with routine data entry requests.
- Handle the closing and opening of office/meeting spaces.
- Assist other administrative support personnel in efforts to manage the office.
Communications Support:
- Assist in mass communications/mailings (includes mail merges or database reports).
- Prepare and maintain files in accordance with established guidelines and/or templates.
- Assist in outreach to external constituents, under the direction of the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience providing administrative or office support in a professional environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar office software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
