Global Trade Compliance, Global Trade Compliance Program Manager
Location: Portland, Denver or Washington, DC area. Other locations/remote may be considered.
Position Overview
As Global Trade Compliance Program Manager, you will help advance Autodesk’s efforts to build and maintain a practical, effective global trade compliance program. As a member of the Legal Compliance team, you will collaborate with Autodesk’s global trade compliance professionals to support a variety of trade compliance areas with a focus on policy and procedure documentation and leading and improving workflows for export classification, trade compliance training, audits and assessments, M&A integration, and screening.
Responsibilities:
· Help develop and implement proactive strategies, processes, and workflows to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to trade compliance;
· Lead the export classification workflow and documentation process, including coordination with product, offering, engineering and legal teams.
· Assist with program risk assessments, compliance program improvements, and compliance program project planning and implementation.
· Maintain and update current policies, procedures and work instructions, develop new procedures and work instructions as needed;
· Lead audit and risk assessment planning and implementation in coordination with Legal and other stakeholders;
· Develop annual targeted and company-wide trade compliance training plan, assist with the preparation of training materials, track training attendance and completion;
· Coordinate with various teams on trade compliance focused M&A integration planning and execution.
Job Requirements
· Significant experience with US export controls and economic sanctions programs, including restricted party list screening, end-user and end-use controls, country-based license requirements, OFAC sanctions programs. Experience with EU and UK export control and sanctions programs a plus.
· Experience with trade compliance program development, implementation and improvement.
· Ability to develop and implement process improvements including deployment of automated tools and workflows and willingness to leverage AI enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
· Prior experience with scoping and conducting internal audits and assessments and developing and tracking corrective actions.
· Experience with trade compliance integration for acquired companies, including in particular with export control and sanctions list screening requirements.
· Familiarity with export classification processes, experience with encryption controls and the ITAR a plus.
· Experience in the software, cloud services, IT sector. Prior experience in the manufacturing sector also helpful.
· A desire to learn new subject matter areas and problem solve with creativity and enthusiasm.
· Ability to interact comfortably with business teams; strong verbal and analytical skills; exceptional interpersonal skills; highly team-oriented; a commitment to professionalism; a sense of humor; an open mind; flexibility as to the types of projects assigned; solid business acumen; willingness to work outside of normal business hours; and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure are required.

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $101,000 and $181,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
