About this role

Job Summary:

Responsible for the daily warehouse, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, staging, and stock organization functions of the Office Runway Base Supply Center (BSC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Ensure merchandise is received accurately, stored correctly, picked and prepared efficiently, and maintained in an organized and audit ready warehouse environment. Performs delivery duties on an as needed basis, including the safe operation of a delivery van or box truck to transport customer orders and deliver professional customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Order Fulfillment

- Accurately picks, stages, packages, and prepares customer orders for shipment, delivery, transfer, or customer pickup while ensuring order accuracy and proper documentation.

- Maintains organized, clean, and efficient warehouse, receiving, staging, and loading areas to support daily operations and customer service.

Receiving & Inventory Control:

- Receives, inspects, verifies, stocks, and stores incoming merchandise while identifying and reporting discrepancies, damages, shortages, or inventory issues.

- Supports inventory accuracy through proper transaction processing, cycle counts, physical inventories, product organization, and inventory reconciliation activities.

Systems & Documentation:

- Utilizes Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, EvoX, and other approved systems to process receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, transfers, and related warehouse transactions accurately and timely.

- Maintains accurate documentation and reports system, inventory, pricing, or operational discrepancies to management.

Safety, Compliance & Quality:

- Follows established safety procedures, OSHA requirements, CABVI policies, and federal installation requirements while maintaining a safe, clean, and audit-ready work environment.

- Supports AbilityOne, NIB, government, and internal compliance requirements by maintaining product availability, organization, documentation, and operational readiness.

Customer & Store Support:

- Provides professional customer service by supporting customer pickups, sales floor replenishment, merchandising activities, special projects, and other operational initiatives as assigned.

Delivery Operations:

- Performs customer deliveries as needed, including loading, transporting, and delivering orders safely and accurately while operating company vehicles, completing required documentation, and providing professional service to customers.

Team Collaboration:

- Works collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, and cross-functional teams to address operational needs, resolve issues, support continuous improvement efforts, and maintain service excellence.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Assists with warehouse reorganizations, inventory projects, equipment and inventory movement, vendor pickups, special assignments, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or GED preferred.

- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, fulfillment, distribution, delivery, retail, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.

- Experience working in a federal, military, industrial, retail, distribution, or warehouse environment is beneficial.

- Experience using inventory management, ERP, warehouse, or point-of-sale software is preferred.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or EvoX is beneficial but not required; training may be provided.

- Demonstrated attention to detail with a strong commitment to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and documentation integrity.

- Ability to accurately identify, match, track, and process products, item numbers, NSNs, quantities, inventory locations, and related records.

- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to maintain orderly inventory, warehouse, staging, and storage areas.

- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn and effectively utilize inventory management, ERP, point-of-sale, and other business systems.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, professionalism, dependability, and punctuality.

- Ability to read, understand, and follow delivery instructions, route information, maps, GPS navigation, purchase orders, packing slips, inventory records, and other business documentation.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive customer, business, and government related information.

- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and the ability to meet CABVI vehicle insurance and driver eligibility requirements.

- Knowledge of applicable traffic laws and safe vehicle operation, including the ability to safely operate delivery vans, box trucks, and other authorized vehicles as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise weighing up to 52 pounds and perform repetitive material-handling activities throughout the workday.

- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, and perform warehouse and delivery related tasks for extended periods.

- Ability to safely load and unload vehicles and freight and operate approved material handling equipment, including carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.

- Ability to safely enter and exit delivery vehicles repeatedly throughout assigned routes.

- Ability to work effectively in warehouse, retail, loading dock, outdoor, and delivery environments under varying weather and working conditions.
