Compensation Range:
$61,000.00 - $85,400.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Conducts specialized and highly complex analysis of financial data in support of various finance functions for the pharmacy department. Responsible for providing senior management with the analysis and information they need to make timely operational, financial, and strategic decisions. Conducts analysis of financial data in support of the various Finance functions using systems such as Workday (UR Financials and P2P), TPMS/Financial Advantage, Epic, Sage, and other pharmacy related systems., Reviews and evaluates accounting policies and procedures for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Conducts specialized financial analysis specific to pharmacy operations to support financial reporting and compliance with the pharmacy department. Assists with producing financial dashboards tailored to pharmacy leadership. Reviews pharmacy related requisitions to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and alignment with budget. Contributes to the generation of over $100M in pharmacy purchase orders and invoice submissions ensuring proper accounting treatment, accurate cost forecasting, and adherence to procurement policies. Supports pharmacy management with research on income statements and decision support analysis. Reviews financial data processed through UR Financials and pharmacy systems including TPMS and Epic and resolves discrepancies.
- Compiles and/or prepares reports, graphs, and charts of data analyzed for pharmacy leadership. Assists with the oversight of cash handling procedures across all pharmacy related locations and ensures compliance with financial policies. Performs analysis to ensure integrity of accounting data and account balances.  Reports on discrepancies as needed. Prepares conclusions and makes recommendations based on research. Prepares reports for external auditors.
- Analyzes and interprets data, statistics, and financial information and identifies significant differences in relationships among sources of information. Assists with reconciliation of general ledger transactions in Workday. Investigates issues related to pharmacy financial data, evaluates variances, and communicates findings to leadership as appropriate.
- Assists in the development and/or modification of Finance policies and procedures as they relate to the pharmacy department. Maintains communication with University service departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Engages with pharmacy managers and directors regarding financial and purchasing activities to discuss fluctuations and variances in monthly detail. Assists with providing guidance and training to pharmacy staff on procedural changes.
- Keeps abreast of trends as they relate to financial management and adapts new developments into planning, control, and analytical processes. Attending meetings and prepares reports and conclusions to make recommendations to pharmacy management. May train new or current staff on new applications, policies, and processes.
- As assigned, assumes responsibilities for special projects involving financial, planning, and recommending changes. Assumes responsibility for the project, establishes time tables, activity plans, and coordinates the efforts of any subordinate staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in finance functional area and 2 years related experience required
- Master's degree preferred
- 4 years of related experience preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred
