General Superintendent Field

Zachry is currently seeking an experienced Industrial construction General Field Superintendent to support new construction projects.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Field Superintendent serves as the senior field leader responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and supervision construction activities on large industrial projects. Functioning as a field supervisor, this role provides leadership and oversight to multiple levels of craft supervision, including Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, and millwright craft personnel. The position is accountable for safe and efficient project execution, workforce planning, productivity, quality, schedule adherence, cost control, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project requirements and company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school certificate or college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial construction experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory position.
- Extensive experience overseeing the installation, alignment, maintenance, and commissioning of major mechanical and rotating equipment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial construction means and methods, particularly within the power industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop craft supervision and workforce personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Required:

- Experience in an industrial new construction project, in the power industry
- Strong mechanical background on large industrial construction projects
- Must have good aptitude and manual dexterity
- Ability to work with others – team player
- Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors
- Commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations

Preferred:

- Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
- Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
- Former Superintendent experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
- Will talk and hear to communicate.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
- May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 40lbs.
- Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/puggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot – cool/cold. Occasional rain. Will work at different elevations. May be required to work in close, confined spaces for a long period of time. Noise levels will be moderate to high.
