Environmental Services Technician

Reliant Healthcare Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team in Katy, TX. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our patients, families, and employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Clean and disinfect patient care areas, offices, restrooms, common areas, hallways, and other assigned spaces

- Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming

- Disinfect high-touch surfaces according to established infection-control procedures

- Empty trash and properly dispose of waste according to company guidelines

- Restock restroom, sanitation, and cleaning supplies as needed

- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner

- Follow established cleaning schedules and document completed duties when required

- Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning or sanitation needs

- Follow OSHA, infection prevention, safety, and company policies

- Properly use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Immediately report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management

- Help maintain a professional and welcoming appearance throughout the facility

- Perform additional environmental services duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, environmental services, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred

- Healthcare or clinical environment experience is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Reliable, punctual, and able to complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

- Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, and infection-control practices preferred

- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working around patients and families

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday

- Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment

- Ability to safely operate standard commercial cleaning equipment
