Perma-Pipe in Lebanon, TN (USA) is looking for an Entry-Level Receiving Clerk
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and receiving operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, documented, and stored to support production and customer requirements.

Qualifications
Receiving & Inspection
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments from vendors, carriers, and delivery drivers.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and product descriptions against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or over-shipped materials to the appropriate team member.
- Ensure all received materials meet quality and documentation requirements before acceptance.
Inventory & System Updates
- Accurately enter receiving transactions into inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
- Label and document incoming materials according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and help resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, stock verification, and inventory audits.
Material Handling & Organization
- Move and store received materials in designated warehouse, staging, or production locations.
- Organize inventory to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and accuracy.
- Utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as authorized.
- Support material movement activities to maintain efficient workflow throughout the facility.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with purchasing, inventory, production, and shipping teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Communicate receiving issues, shortages, damages, or delivery concerns in a timely manner.
- Support production and operational needs by ensuring materials are received and available when required.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving dock, warehouse, yard, and work areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures, material handling guidelines, and equipment operating requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies.
- Assist in maintaining an organized work environment that promotes efficiency and workplace safety.
Qualifications
Background and Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Demonstrated Skills
- Strong communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions & Expectations:
- Work may occur in an office or manufacturing environment.
- May require extended hours depending on project demands.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
