HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team, based in Richmond Hill. The HR Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support across a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, employee records, attendance tracking, employee communications, progressive discipline, and general HR support.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Records & HR Administration

- Maintain confidential and accurate employee personnel files and HR records.

- Update HR systems and employee databases as required.

- Prepare HR reports, letters, forms, and other documentation.

- Assist with employee status changes, promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations.

- Track employee attendance, vacation, leaves, and other employee-related information.

- Ensure HR documentation is completed and maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable legislation.

Employee Relations & HR Support

- Act as a first point of contact for general HR inquiries from employees and managers.

- Support the HR Manager with employee relations matters and workplace investigations as required.

- Assist with the administration and communication of company policies and procedures.

- Support performance management and annual review processes.

- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training, and company events.

- Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

Health & Safety

- Assist with maintaining employee health and safety records and documentation.

- Support workplace health and safety training and tracking.

- Assist with WSIB-related administrative requirements as required.

- Help ensure required workplace postings, records, and documentation are maintained.

General

- Assist the HR Manager with special projects and process improvements.

- Stay informed of changes to applicable employment standards and workplace legislation.

- Provide general administrative support to the HR department.

- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources

- 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources or HR Coordinator role.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

- Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems is an asse, more specifically ADP WFN.

- Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act, is an asset.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, approachable manner.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000
