Sedgman is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their team, in our Montreal, QC Office. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert, with an emphasis on identifying and managing process improvements opportunities, providing process engineering design expertise, and delivering high quality projects to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to the technical aspects of request for quotations and technical literature.
- Provide process design support through all the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.
- Play a key role in client discussions and negotiations
- Develop, improve and promote the effective use of operations systems (i.e. JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, Dochub)
- Provide feedback to Sedgman design and engineering personnel to ensure an effective process of continual improvement throughout the organisation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
- Will be up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes
- Provide direction to ensure Sedgman Operational targets and production are achieved in a safe, practical and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)
- Must have 12-15+ years of relevant process engineering design experience in the mining industry
- Will have their OIQ Engineering designation.
- Demonstrated experience providing process engineering design solutions in an engineering / consulting firm
- Strong knowledge of metallurgical / mining process engineering, equipment, and technologies in the mining industry
- Chemical and mineral processing experience is mandatory .
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.
- Proven ability to lead and work as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Language requirements: Excellent spoken and written French. Strong spoken English skills are required due to daily contact with clients, suppliers, partners, and colleagues based outside Quebec.
