Overview
Under the general guidance of the HR Manager, the HR Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department at E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences. This role assists with the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, HRIS and payroll support, training, and compliance, while serving as a resource for managers and team members.
Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Partner with hiring managers to anticipate and plan for staffing needs in advance of required start dates.
- Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, job fairs, schools, and other avenues; create and maintain internal and external job postings.
- Pre-screen, interview, and assess candidates, and make hiring recommendations to managers.
- Conduct background and reference checks prior to job offers, and prepare offer letters.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation, including completing Form I-9 and E-Verify, new hire paperwork, and system setup.
- Manage relationships with job boards, agencies, schools, and other recruitment sources, and schedule and attend job fairs.
- Prepare recruiting statistics and reports.
Employee Relations and Administration:
- Serve as a point of contact for team members and managers on HR policies, procedures, and general questions.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including documenting concerns, supporting investigations, and preparing corrective action documentation in partnership with the HR Manager.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files, and process employee changes, such as new hires, transfers, promotions, pay changes, and terminations, in Dayforce.
- Support payroll processing by reviewing timekeeping, verifying employee data, and resolving discrepancies with managers.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and administration, and answer team member benefit questions.
- Assist with leave of absence administration, including FMLA, and workers’ compensation claims.
- Track and support the completion of performance reviews, including 90-day introductory reviews.
- Coordinate required training, certifications, and compliance programs, and maintain training records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including required postings and record-keeping.
- Conduct exit interviews and process separations.
- Help plan and execute employee engagement and recognition programs and events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two to four (2-4) years of Human Resources generalist experience, including recruitment, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficient in Dayforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards, with professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple projects, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Creative, innovative team player able to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

For Employees Based in Washington:

For Employees Based in Colorado:
- 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
- Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
- 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
For Employees Based in California:
- 8 paid holidays per year
- Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
- Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
