Lead Risk, Drive Change, Shape the Future of Global Foreign Exchange Operations

We are seeking an experienced and influential Foreign Exchange Operations Support Leader to serve as a strategic partner across our Foreign Exchange (FX) organization, helping guide business decisions, strengthen operational resilience, and support critical risk and change initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned FX professional to become a trusted advisor to leaders across Operations, Risk, Technology, Compliance, and the Front Office.

Why This Role?

As the Foreign Exchange Operations Support Leader, you will serve as a key liaison and leadership partner across the FX organization, providing oversight of operational risk, supporting enterprise change initiatives, and helping ensure the organization remains prepared for an evolving regulatory and business landscape. You will influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and champion improvements that strengthen the effectiveness of our global FX operations.

You will work directly with senior leaders, risk partners, technology teams, and front-office stakeholders while gaining broad exposure to the end-to-end FX trade lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Serve as a Strategic Risk & Operations Partner

- Provide end-to-end operational risk oversight for Foreign Exchange Operations.
- Partner with leaders across Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and the Front Office to identify emerging risks and drive solutions.
- Monitor operational health, incident trends, control effectiveness, and remediation activities.
- Act as a key escalation point for material operational, regulatory, and business issues.

Lead Through Change

- Evaluate operational readiness and risk impacts associated with business, technology, and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with leaders across FX functions to ensure controls, procedures, and risk considerations are incorporated before implementation.
- Drive thoughtful challenge and oversight during change initiatives, helping teams make informed decisions.

Strengthen Operational Excellence

- Analyze operational processes across the FX trade lifecycle, including: Trade Confirmation & Matching Settlement & CLS Reconciliation & Exception Management Post-Settlement Investigations
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and risk reduction.
- Support root cause analysis efforts and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.

Provide Leadership Coverage

- Serve as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for managers and team members across the organization.
- Act as the lead associate and primary escalation point when senior FX leadership is unavailable.
- Influence stakeholders and help drive alignment across multiple business functions without direct reporting authority.

- Build strong partnerships across Operations, Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams.
- Understand and articulate FX processes from beginning to end.
- Increase organizational awareness of operational and regulatory risk.
- Proactively identify concerns before they become business issues.
- Improve governance, change management discipline, and operational readiness across the FX organization.
- Serve as a trusted resource for leaders, managers, and business partners.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically eight or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Deep understanding of Foreign Exchange products and trade lifecycle operations.
- Demonstrated experience working across complex operational and risk environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting operational risk, business controls, governance, compliance, audit, or regulatory initiatives.
- Knowledge of FX products such as Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, and Options.
- Experience leading or influencing change management efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes.
- Experience working with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.

Location Expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
