About this role
Title: Project Manager, Roofing
Location: Greater Toronto Area
Company: Triumph Group of Companies
Role Overview
The Project Manager, Roofing manages roofing and waterproofing projects from award through closeout, reporting to and learning from the Senior Project Manager as you build toward running larger and more complex work. You own the budget, schedule, and day to day client relationship on your projects, working alongside estimators, superintendents, and general contractors to keep the work moving. When something goes sideways, like a change order dispute or a tight schedule, you flag it early and bring a plan, not just a problem. You take ownership of your projects without waiting to be told what to do next. Good work in this role means projects that land on budget, general contractors who trust your word, and a Senior Project Manager who can hand you more responsibility with confidence.
What We Offer
- Salary: $90,000 to $120,000, based on experience
- Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, life)
- Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (as applicable)
- Performance based annual bonus eligibility
- Direct mentorship from senior project management leadership
- A clear path toward larger and more complex project assignments
- Opportunities for career growth within the Triumph Group of Companies
What You Bring to the Table
Technical Skills
- 3 to 5 years managing commercial or industrial roofing and waterproofing projects, with some experience in building envelope work
- Post secondary education in construction management, engineering, or architectural technology (preferred, not required)
- Working familiarity with roofing assemblies, waterproofing systems, and manufacturer specifications
- Exposure to CCDC contracts, lien legislation, and the change order process
- Comfortable with MS Office and project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar), with a valid driver license and willingness to travel to project sites
Attributes
- You take ownership of your projects without waiting to be told, and you own a miss quickly instead of hiding it
- You stay organized under pressure and can carry a handful of jobs at once without dropping details
- You ask good questions and take direction well, but you are comfortable making the reasonable call in the moment
- You communicate clearly with contractors and clients, even when the conversation is a difficult one
- You want to grow into more responsibility and welcome a Senior Project Manager helping you get there
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of roofing and waterproofing projects, owning schedule, budget, quality, and safety on each
- Review scope, drawings, and specifications at award, and run kickoff meetings so the field team understands schedule and quality expectations
- Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals with consultants, general contractors, and internal teams
- Review contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders alongside the Senior Project Manager, flagging risk before anything is signed
- Build and maintain project schedules, and coordinate crews and resources with site supervisors and superintendents
- Track costs, change orders, and RFIs, and prepare progress billing applications in line with contract terms
- Manage manufacturer warranty documentation, as built drawings, and closeout records so nothing stalls at the finish line
- Run progress reviews with superintendents and contractors, and escalate problem areas to the Senior Project Manager early
- Keep the Senior Project Manager current on project status, potential liabilities, and issues as they develop
- Maintain client and consultant relationships, and support warranty claims and site visits as needed
