Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Drainage Engineer for employment in the Orlando, Florida office, due to a robust and growing backlog. As an AECOM Drainage Engineer in the Orlando office, you can look forward to:

- Working on diverse projects including various assignments for the Department of Transportation and local municipalities throughout Florida and other states.
- Work with a hands-on and supportive manager, who will work with you to develop a 5 year career development plan incorporating your desires and input.
- Work with a high profile team in a collegial work environment, who supporting multiple large project in multiple states.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Developing strong working relationships with clients and staff plus maintain a high level of project standards and meeting or ideally exceeding client expectations
- Perform drainage design and production for Transportation projects including calculations and plans preparation
- Works under the direction of senior staff to develop plans and calculations for Transportation projects
- Understands applicable policies, methods, practices, and procedures of drainage design
- Assists in the design of collection and conveyance systems for Transportation projects
- Assists in design of stormwater management facilities to meet water quality and quantity requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline and 6 years of experience as a Drainage Engineer or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience performing engineering analysis for drainage design associated with Transportation projects

Preferred Qualifications:

- State of Florida - Professional Engineer (PE) 
- Experience in design of drainage conveyance systems and plans prepared in compliance with FDOT standards
- Experience in pond design
- Experience in the following software:  OpenRoads, or other equivalent CAD software, HY-8, ICPR, and MS Office 
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
