ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Internship Program is a prestigious, cohort-based experience that attracts top talent from across the country for paid, full-time summer internships spanning majors and functional areas – from economic research and finance to Cash Services, IT, and beyond. While interns take on a specific functional role for the summer with meaningful work and opportunities to grow, the program offers much more than a single assignment. Dedicated staff mentors help launch your career, and curated cohort programming provides broad exposure to central banking, direct access to senior leaders and industry experts, and dedicated learning and development opportunities. As part of the Federal Reserve System, you'll also build a professional network of peers that spans the nation. The program runs approximately for 10-12 weeks, beginning in mid-to-late May and concluding in August. For this specific position, you will be located in the Dallas office.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM :

The Statistics Department collects information to support the Federal Reserve's monetary policy, economic research, supervision and regulation, and the United States Treasury services responsibilities. The collected data are analyzed to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements and to identify trends and developments that may have implications for users of the data.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Analyze data to ensure accuracy and identify underlying trends and developments that may have implications for data users
- As required, research regulatory and accounting guidelines to assure respondent compliance with banking policies, regulations and GAAP as they relate to financial reporting
- Analyze current reporting processes, procedures & protocols for improvement purposes and implementation of new analysis methods related to report review
- Participating in staff meetings and attending other meetings and trainings

WHAT YOU BRING:

- Background/Education in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with SQL, R, Python, or SAS is a plus

WORK HOURS:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/ week). Some additional hours may be required.
