Job Description

We’re looking for an HRIS Analyst II to join our People & Talent team and help optimize the technology, data, and processes that support our employees and leaders.
In this role, you’ll serve as a key partner in the administration and continuous improvement of our HR technology environment, with a strong focus on Workday. You’ll configure and support Workday modules, maintain system security and integrations, support releases and enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and partner with stakeholders to deliver solutions that are simple, efficient, and scalable.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams. You enjoy understanding how systems and processes work, solving problems, and finding ways to make technology work better for the people who rely on it.
*This is an in-office position designated to work from our Salt Lake City headquarters.
What You’ll Do
- Configure, enhance, and support Workday modules including HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent/Performance, and Benefits .
- Maintain and administer Workday security groups, foundational tables, and inbound and outbound HCM integrations.
- Partner with People & Talent leaders, business stakeholders, and support teams to understand system needs and recommend practical, efficient solutions.
- Support Workday releases and updates by researching new functionality, assessing impacts, coordinating testing, and communicating recommended changes and enhancements.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement efforts involving Workday business processes, workflows, integrations, reporting, and data integrity.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy and integrity of organizational and employee data within Workday.
- Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request support, and escalation management through ticketing and tracking systems.
- Identify recurring issues, system gaps, and process inefficiencies and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate system enhancements, releases, upgrades, and process changes to stakeholders and end users.
- Develop and maintain job aids, documentation, and training materials to increase internal Workday knowledge.
- Support People & Talent initiatives and projects by researching technology solutions and executing assigned deliverables.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to brainstorm solutions and effectively respond to ad hoc requests.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline .
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, HRIS, data analytics, or a related field, including project coordination or project management experience.
- Experience administering, configuring, and supporting Workday.
- Experience configuring and maintaining HRIS/HCM systems.
- Experience supporting HRIS projects, including implementations, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of HR systems maintenance and support, including system configuration, integrations, system changes, and testing.
- Experience validating and analyzing data for system imports, reporting, spreadsheets, and other business needs.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel .
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across People & Talent and with partners throughout the organization.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment characterized by ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality, accuracy, and discretion.
- General knowledge of human resources practices, policies, and procedures.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to take ownership, contribute ideas, and consistently follow through on commitments.
Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for education requirements. Generally, one year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education, at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday experience across multiple functional areas, such as HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent/Performance, Benefits, Security, or Integrations .
- Workday Pro certification in HCM, Studio, Integrations, Core Connectors, or related areas .
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification .
- Experience with Workday business process configuration, integrations, security, or release management.

Travel
This position requires occasional travel of up to 20% , including attendance at designated WGU summits, typically one to two times per year. Additional travel may include conferences, visits to WGU locations, and other business-related events as needed.
