About this role

As a  Mechanical and Hardware Installer , your primary responsibility is the installation, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and hardware components, including firefighting systems, steel pipes, fittings, and door hardware installations. The role requires the ability to interpret drawings and specifications, fabricate and install piping systems, and use hand and power tools effectively.

Main Responsibilities

1. Execution of the job:

- Assist  in general site preparation and  maintain  site cleanliness.

- Install and service fire doors and door hardware.

- Install firefighting piping systems and associated mechanical components.

- Fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical piping systems, including steel pipes, fittings, valves, and related fixtures.

- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using  appropriate tools  and machinery.

- Install pipe supports and secure systems in line with installation standards.

- Conduct basic site inspections and pre-installation assessments to  determine  material and equipment requirements.

2 . Quality Assurance and Compliance

- Ensure all work  complies with  relevant codes, standards, and company procedures.

- Identify  potential hazards and take necessary precautions to mitigate risks.

- Ensure proper and safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery.

- Attend required training and certification sessions as directed by the Company.

Required  Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical installation, plumbing, hardware installation, or a related field.

- Experience in welding, firefighting piping systems or commercial plumbing installations is considered an asset.

Required Skills & Attributes

Technical Skills

- Proficiency  in handling hand and power tools.

- Basic mechanical fabrication and installation capability.

Communication

- Basic  proficiency  in reading, writing, and understanding English.

- Basic computer skills (email usage).

Physical Stamina

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting materials and prolonged standing, in compliance with H&S regulations.
