Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer who will play a critical role in expediting products within our current supplier base while enhancing quality. This position involves observing, evaluating, and suggesting improvements in quality processes and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
- Focus on expediting products within the current supplier base and increasing quality.
- Observe, evaluate, and make suggestions on how to improve quality processes and manufacturability.
- Work with suppliers to increase efficiencies to meet company demands.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to company and automotive/IATF/VBA industry standards.
- Create supplier progress reports and develop problem-solving plans for corrective actions.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
- Experience in manufacturing or as a floor Quality Engineer.
- Knowledge of quality engineering principles such as auditing, problem solving, corrective actions, 8D, 5Why, PPAP, capability studies, APQP, and containment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; candidates with applicable experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with suppliers.
- Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is highly advantageous.
Work Environment
This position offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to work remotely 50% of the time from anywhere in the country. The remaining 50% involves traveling to supplier locations to evaluate and enhance their processes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Avon, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
