About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a variety of accounting functions that directly support the organization's financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, managing transactional accounting, and contributing to process improvements.

This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking to expand their experience across multiple areas of corporate accounting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

- Prepare and process payroll on a bi-weekly basis while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.

- Generate customer invoices and support billing activities to ensure timely collections.

- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts.

- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Prepare financial reports and analyze variances against budgets and forecasts.

- Monitor operating expenses and provide insights to support budgeting and financial planning efforts.

- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.

- Support internal controls and assist with audit requests from external auditors and regulatory agencies.

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with finance leadership on special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.

- 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
