About the role

Reporting to the GM Finance Partnering, Growth, Strategy & Transformation , the Finance Business Partner, Korea provides commercial and financial management and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) support for both the Fonterra Growth & Strategy (Korea) Branch and Fonterra Korea Limited. Based in Seoul, this role partners with the Korea and Growth & Strategy teams to deliver strategic and sales objectives, strengthen financial performance, and oversee the effective management of the two entities.

Key Accountabilities

Finance & Commercial Management

- Ensure core finance and accounting activities are completed accurately and on time. Prepare Korea reporting for regional submission and support cash management, accounts payable and receivable, credit control, master data, expense claims, tax filings, invoicing, local tax-related accounting reviews, budgets, monthly reporting, and internal and external audits.

Financial Planning & Analysis

- Lead forecasting, annual budgeting and business planning for Korea and the wider Growth & Strategy region. Support performance consolidation through variance analysis, information gathering and updates on key performance drivers.
- Evaluate projected financials, track results against forecasts, and provide commercial insights and coaching that improve performance and reduce cost and complexity.
· Future-Focused Finance

- Optimise processes and practices by leveraging advanced AI, analytics tools, the organisation’s data hub and the evolving Finance shared-service model.
· Integrated Business Planning

- Lead and strengthen the IBP process with the direct manager, Growth & Strategy Leadership Team and IBP facilitators. Maintain integrity across business development, demand, supply, people, inventory and financial plans; resolve process issues; and prepare Korea data for Demand Review, Reconciliation Review and Management Business Review regional submissions.
· Operational Buying

- Create procurement requirements, coordinate purchase orders with vendors, receipt goods in SAP, resolve discrepancies, and submit local contracts through Ariba for approval.
· People Leadership

- Supervise, support and develop a Finance Analyst, set clear performance objectives, provide coaching and assistance, and build an effective development plan.

About You

- A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; a bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
- At least 10 years of commercial finance experience ideally in a multinational or complex commercial environment.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and commercial insight capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships and explain financial information clearly.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SAP is preferred, and experience with Ariba is advantageous.
- Market and customer knowledge; familiarity with Fonterra products and supply chain would be advantageous.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Korean.
