About the Role

As an Advisor in our Diversified Credit (Wholesale SME) team, you’ll play a key role in delivering effective credit decisions, executing credit assessments and maintaining portfolio quality. You’ll contribute to portfolio outcomes through consistent credit reviews and stakeholder engagement, and by building credit capability and contributing to effective risk management practices. This role is responsible for Credit Risk Infrastructure which helps the business in growth and momentum activities whilst managing credit risk for the bank.

What will your day look like?

As an Advisor, you will have the opportunity to:

- Undertake credit assessment and decisioning, ensuring timely and effective portfolio quality management.

- Support, mentor and train to improve credit proposal quality and capability.

- Build stakeholder relationships and contribute to governance forums.

- Effectively communicate credit decisions.

- Ensure adherence to credit policies, risk culture, and compliance requirements.

What will you bring?

For this role, you would ideally bring the following:

- Well-developed credit assessment and analysis capability with an understanding of CAD processes.

- Solid understanding of credit policies and practices.

- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.

- Ability to identify credit deterioration and manage portfolio risks.

- Solid understanding of group credit policies and practices.

- Be an advocate of change and lead with clarity and conviction, all the while fostering a positive, open mindset and helping their team adapt confidently to evolving business and risk environments.
