Team: Individual contributor within the cross-functional leadership team (no direct reports initially);

We are seeking a strategic, highly commercial Private Ecosystem Manager with a proven track record in expanding private markets and building institutional partnerships to spearhead our efforts in making innovative obesity treatments accessible to employer-sponsored plans, insurers, corporate wellness programs, and private healthcare networks in Bulgaria — with future expansion into Alzheimer's disease and other therapeutic areas as the ecosystem model evolves. This is a commercial ecosystem development role focused on building and managing partnerships with institutional stakeholders, rather than influencing prescribing behavior.

Responsibilities

This role is a high-impact, commercial leadership position responsible for shaping and executing strategies to penetrate and scale the market through partnerships with private ecosystem players (pharmacy chains, wholesalers, large employers, private HCOs, digital/telehealth players, private medical centers/hospitals, and private health insurers).

As the Private Ecosystem Manager, you will:

- Establish a scalable go-to-market model for the private sector
- Map and prioritize key private-sector market segments (employers, insurers, digital health partners, retail pharmacy companies, …)
- Partner with Market Access to design novel pricing, reimbursement, and value-based engagement models
- Integrate private ecosystem market entry & growth with the overall commercialization strategy
- Accelerate private-market adoption of obesity treatments, with planned expansion into Alzheimer's disease and other therapeutic areas as the ecosystem model matures, driving measurable revenue impact
- Partner with marketing & sales teams to craft private ecosystem value propositions that align with external stakeholders
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to navigate regulatory and policy complexities
- Leverage data-driven insights and health economics models to demonstrate ROI to private-sector partners
- Develop business cases and identify appropriate performance indicators and commercial drivers to track ecosystem partnership success

Basic Requirements

- Bachelor's degree; post-graduate degree or MBA preferred
- 3 to 5+ years of B2B and institutional stakeholder management, business development, or commercial partnership experience — in Sales & Marketing, Pricing & Market Access, or Finance.
- Analytics and/or forecasting experience
- Deep understanding of the Bulgarian market environment and private healthcare ecosystem
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Strong business acumen, market understanding, and ability to identify external trends
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels; consistent demonstration of Lilly's leadership behaviors and ability to develop credibility across a network spanning a wide variety of functions and geographies
- Strong communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships across cultures, geographies, and functions
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to anticipate and recognize systemic problems, diagnose root causes, and identify corrective actions that prevent recurrence
- Excellent self-management and organizational skills; able to independently manage workload, set personal priorities, and adjust as needed

Additional Skills/Preferences

- Proven track record of scaling private-sector access models
- Experience designing novel access & pricing models (e.g., corporate reimbursement, subscription models, digital therapeutics integration)
- Deep understanding of employer-sponsored healthcare, private insurance dynamics, and corporate wellness trends
- Ability to drive complex negotiations and craft high-value, long-term partnerships
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, and execution capabilities in high-growth environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high agility and comfort operating with ambiguity
- Ownership and accountability, with a solution-oriented approach
- Resilience, adaptability, and a strong sense of urgency and execution focus
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
