Automation Engineer (6+ Years Experience)
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript and experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks. Exposure to other automation frameworks such as Selenium and Robot Framework , along with programming languages such as Python and Java , is highly desirable.
The candidate should possess hands-on experience in API testing , performance testing , CI/CD integration, and application monitoring. This role requires a self-driven individual who can take ownership of deliverables, work independently with minimal supervision, collaborate with stakeholders, and proactively identify functional gaps and quality risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop and enhance automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform API testing and validate integrations across multiple systems.
- Support performance testing activities and analyze application performance bottlenecks.
- Leverage automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and Robot Framework as appropriate.
- Debug automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution with development teams.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Datadog for log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting application issues.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and identify functional gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure timely delivery of testing activities while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
- Take complete ownership of assigned tasks and drive them independently from planning through execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript .
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium and Robot Framework .
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or Java .
- Strong experience in API testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter, or LoadRunner
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub , Git commands, version control, branching strategies, and pull request workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins .
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Datadog , or similar platforms.
- Ability to understand business requirements and proactively identify functional gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Healthcare domain experience is a plus.
