Some careers have more impact than others.

We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Director, Head of Global Investor Access – APAC .

Global Investor Access (GIA) delivers thought leadership content and corporate access solutions for institutional investors across asset classes and client segments within Markets and Securities Services. This role sits at the centre of how we bring investors together with corporates, sector experts and HSBC content through non-deal roadshows, corporate days, conferences, expert events and bespoke access requests.

This is a senior front-office leadership role within a markets-facing environment, responsible for leading and developing the Global Investor Access franchise in APAC. The role includes direct leadership of a sizeable team across the region, with accountability for performance, development and execution. It will drive strategic engagement across Sales, Research, Events and corporate issuers, ensuring Investor Access activity is aligned to client priorities, commercial objectives and broader business strategy. It will also play a key role in shaping thematic campaigns, curating relevant content, using data, analytics and AI Markets tools to improve client outcomes and resource allocation, and driving platform scalability within a strong risk and control framework.

In this role you’ll:

- Lead the strategy and execution of Global Investor Access activity across APAC, including non-deal roadshows, conferences, corporate days, webinars, expert events, small group events and investor tours.

- Originate thematic campaigns and senior engagement opportunities that shape client agendas, deepen long-term relationships and support strategic partnerships across lines of business.

- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Research, Events, Marketing, Branding, Communications and issuer management teams to deliver high-impact client engagement.

- Position HSBC as a global thought leader by curating differentiated content, speakers and engagement opportunities that contribute materially to franchise standing and regional performance.

- Oversee investor access requests, event prioritisation, investor targeting and allocation decisions, ensuring a disciplined, commercial and client-focused approach.

- Lead flagship conference planning and execution, including speaker origination and validation, content development, moderator preparation, stakeholder coordination, logistics, client registration oversight, green room management and post-event follow-up.

- Act as a senior escalation point across conferences, webinars, small group events, roadshows and tours, ensuring clear accountability, strong execution, appropriate marketing and timely management reporting.

- Maintain a strong rhythm of senior engagement, bringing forward relevant themes and ideas that advance the relationship agenda and translate into effective client activity.

- Use data, analytics and AI Markets tools to measure delivery, assess event effectiveness and ROI, allocate resources to the highest-value opportunities, articulate the commercial value of activity, and drive best-practice reporting, CRM discipline and technology adoption.

- Curate and package relevant HSBC content for regional, overseas and global clients and events across APAC.

- Lead, develop and manage a sizeable team across APAC, setting clear priorities, driving performance, coaching and developing talent, and fostering a high-performance, collaborative and inclusive culture.

- Demonstrate strong leadership presence, sound judgement and personal accountability, bringing new ideas and ways of working while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

- Provide clear management information on activity, client engagement, event outcomes and individual and team performance, and contribute to regional business reviews and planning.

To be successful in this role you’ll meet the following requirements:

- Extensive experience in investor access, corporate access, capital markets or related front-office activity within financial services.

- Strong understanding of institutional investor and corporate issuer engagement, with the ability to shape differentiated client access opportunities and strategic partnerships.

- Proven ability to originate ideas, thematic campaigns and engagement strategies that advance client relationships and support commercial objectives.

- Strong knowledge of Global Markets products, sectors, asset classes and client segments, with very good knowledge of at least one core Markets asset class, ideally Equities and/or Credit.

- Good knowledge of Asia markets, including the regional investor landscape, issuer dynamics and broader market environment across APAC.

- Proven people leadership and team management experience, with the ability to lead a large team, set clear direction, manage performance, coach and develop talent, and build an inclusive, accountable and high-performing culture.

- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility to engage effectively with senior internal and external audiences.

- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to assess ROI, prioritise high-value opportunities and contribute meaningfully to franchise performance.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling and commercially focused materials for senior audiences.

- Advanced organisational and execution skills, with the ability to lead multiple complex deliverables in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

- Strong analytical capability, with experience using data, management information and technology to generate insight, improve decision-making and enhance delivery.

- Demonstrated commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, including the use of CRM, analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and scalability.

- Strong understanding of risk, control and regulatory governance within a Financial Services setting, combined with sound judgement, integrity and personal accountability.
