Job Purpose

This job is responsible to develop and implement Qatar Airways Supplier Management strategy and

approach, and the linked response to Third Party Risk Management.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic

· Provision of strategic analysis to define and create alternate paths for Qatar Airways to manage the thirdparty supplier base.

· Gain buys in to the preferred path across the Qatar Airways Group and following this implement the solution.

Operational

· Development of Supplier Segmentation approach - categorizing suppliers based on spend/criticality/value add.

· Development of SRM approach, creating methodologies for consistent management of QR relationship with suppliers for defined Segments (especially, Strategic Suppliers).

· Setting up and rolling out a procurement framework guiding Business Areas on contracting and managing supply base, addressing Internal Audit observations into Third Party Risk Management and ensuring full coverage of the QR Group.

· Development of detailed methodology for management of Strategic Suppliers, identified across QR Group as well as coordination of development and ownership on respective areas, actioned by a central Procurement group.

· Creation of appropriate data streams (both external and internal) to support the SRM approach, in

· particular regarding Strategic Suppliers.

· Involvement in project Wahed to ensure SRM approach is built / aligned and makes full use of the Oracle Platform.

· Sponsorship of the GBS Procurement drive to Supplier Localization, including developing and improving of engagement with Qatari suppliers.

· Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

About You

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent of job-related experience

· Strong Category specific experience

· Degree in Supply chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or a relevant field

Essential

· Command of English language

· Ability to work in a very dynamic environment, under pressure with multiple stakeholders

· Ability to influence, convince and build effective business relationship across diverse group of people

· Service oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure stakeholder satisfaction

· Excellent negotiation planning management and execution skills

· Contractual and Financial acumen

· Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members
