Job Title: Offshore Installation Manager
KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be initially based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE and if required, later move to Offshore site.
Job Purpose
The Offshore Installation Manager will provide overall leadership and management of offshore installation and construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved project requirements, HSE standards and applicable regulations.
The OIM will act as the senior offshore focal point for coordinating personnel, contractors and offshore activities, with particular emphasis on safe execution, emergency preparedness and operational control. These are established core responsibilities of an Offshore Installation Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and coordinate day-to-day offshore installation, construction and associated marine activities.
· Ensure offshore activities are performed safely and in compliance with project HSE requirements, approved procedures and applicable regulations.
· Provide leadership to offshore construction teams, subcontractors and vessel/platform personnel.
· Coordinate offshore execution activities related to platforms, structures, pipelines, subsea facilities and associated offshore facilities, as applicable to the project.
· Coordinate SIMOPS and interfaces between construction, hook-up, commissioning, marine and operations teams.
· Review offshore installation methodologies, procedures, work packs, lifting plans and execution schedules.
· Monitor daily offshore progress and identify constraints that may impact safety, quality or schedule.
· Coordinate with onshore project management, engineering, construction, marine and logistics teams.
· Ensure appropriate control of permits, isolations and worksite activities in accordance with the project's approved systems and procedures.
· Ensure offshore equipment and systems are appropriately inspected and maintained to support safe operations. Equipment inspection and maintenance are recognized OIM responsibilities.
· Maintain effective communication with offshore personnel, contractors and shore-based support teams.
· Lead offshore emergency response and ensure personnel understand applicable emergency procedures and responsibilities.
· Promote strong HSE leadership, conduct safety engagements and ensure corrective actions from incidents or observations are implemented.
· Participate in project planning and execution reviews and ensure offshore activities support overall project objectives.
· Provide daily/weekly offshore construction and installation progress reporting to project management.
· Ensure lessons learned, risks and execution constraints are communicated promptly to relevant stakeholders.
Qualification & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related discipline.
· Significant experience in offshore oil & gas construction and installation projects.
· Strong experience in a senior offshore leadership position such as Offshore Installation Manager, Offshore Construction Manager or equivalent .
· Previous experience on large offshore EPC/EPCI projects is highly desirable.
· ADNOC/ADNOC Offshore project experience would be highly preferred.
· Strong knowledge of offshore construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning, marine operations and SIMOPS.
· Familiarity with offshore HSE management, emergency response and applicable maritime/offshore requirements.
· Appropriate offshore survival, medical, HSE and competency certifications applicable to the assignment should be valid.
· Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. These align closely with ADNOC's published competencies for experienced professionals.
· Ability to manage multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in an offshore environment.
