About this role
Bigblue’s commercial activity is scaling across several countries, with more prospects, clients, partners, and increasingly complex contractual discussions.
Today, contract negotiations involve many teams — Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, RevOps and Leadership — who need fast, pragmatic and reliable legal support to close deals while protecting Bigblue’s interests.
Beyond sales contracts, legal needs are growing on several fronts: the expansion of our 3PL network (partner and supplier agreements), and an increasing merchant base with legal issues arising during the life of the contract.
We need a dedicated Legal Manager to secure contract validation, keep templates up to date, support teams with the right legal and business arguments, and step into negotiations when the complexity or risk level requires it.
The role
We are looking for a Legal Manager to own Bigblue’s legal topics across the business: merchant (sales) contracts, 3PL and fulfillment agreements, and the legal follow-up of our existing merchant base. The role owns contract validation, improves contract templates, advises teams during negotiations, participates directly in contractual discussions when needed, and coordinates external / local counsel.
The role is both operational and strategic: helping the business move fast, while making sure legal risks are understood, mitigated and documented.
What you’ll do
Contract validation
Review, analyze and validate contracts before signature.
Identify legal, commercial and operational risks in customer, partner and supplier contracts.
Propose pragmatic amendments that protect Bigblue without unnecessarily slowing down business.
Prioritize contract reviews based on risk level, business urgency, deal value and negotiation complexity.
Ensure contracts comply with Bigblue's internal standards, approval rules and commercial positioning.
Escalate sensitive or high-risk topics to the relevant stakeholders with clear recommendations.
3PL & fulfillment agreements
Own the drafting, review and negotiation of agreements with 3PL partners, warehouses, carriers and other logistics suppliers, as our network expands across countries.
Ensure back-to-back consistency between merchant commitments (SLA, liability, penalties) and 3PL / supplier commitments.
Support Operations and Finance on disputes, claims and liability topics with logistics partners.
Existing merchant base & disputes
Handle legal issues with existing merchants over the life of the contract: claims, disputes, terminations, renewals and sensitive churn negotiations.
Contract templates & legal documentation
Own and maintain Bigblue's standard contract templates across all countries.
Keep templates up to date with changes to Bigblue's offer, pricing, operating model, product scope and markets.
Standardize key clauses to make negotiations faster and more consistent.
Build a negotiation playbook for recurring clauses, with fall-back positions and clear rules on what can be accepted, what needs approval and what must be refused.
Create FAQs and examples so teams can handle recurring negotiation topics on their own.
Keep improving templates, playbooks and FAQs based on what comes up in negotiations.
Contractual negotiations
Support teams involved in negotiations (Sales, Partnerships, Merchants, Leadership) by answering their legal and contractual questions and giving them clear arguments to defend Bigblue's position.
Explain the business impact of key clauses such as liability, SLA, termination, payment terms, data protection, operational commitments and exclusivity.
Lead or join negotiations that are complex, strategic or high-risk, working directly with clients' and partners' legal, procurement and business teams.
Help Sales and Leadership prepare the negotiation strategy for complex or high-value deals.
Unblock negotiations with balanced, business-minded solutions that protect Bigblue's interests without hurting the commercial relationship.
Cross-functional legal business partnering
Act as the legal business partner for Sales, Partnerships, RevOps, Finance, Customer Success and Operations, turning legal concepts into simple, actionable guidance.
With Finance: payment terms, invoicing, liability exposure and commercial commitments.
With Operations: operational obligations, service levels, logistics constraints, 3PL partners and client commitments.
With RevOps and Sales leadership: build legal steps into commercial workflows and make sure templates work in practice.
Improve the contract review process to cut delays and make ownership clear, including when to involve Legal and what information to send for a fast review.
Train teams on common contractual topics and negotiation guardrails.
